Our last AGM was held on Friday 5 May 2023, at the Kellbank in Gosforth,
when it was decided to increase membership subs for the first time in 10 years.
Membership subscriptions are now
£15 pa for Full members and
£10 pa for Junior and Patron members.
Subs become due after the AGM.
Remember that all members and patrons are entitled to book seats or tickets
for our performances at least one week before members of the public.
The membership year runs from AGM to AGM (in May), so subs are due from May each year. Full / Adult -

There is something for everyone here. Acting, music, singing, set design, scenery building, property making, scene painting, lighting, dressmaking, hairdressing, make up, publicity, and front of house -
How do I join?
There are many ways of joining us, the easiest being to contact us by email. Or, if you live in the Gosforth / Seascale area, you’re almost bound to know one of our committee members -
... and finally, if you’re feeling particularly brave, just turn up at one of our rehearsals, or at our AGM, and introduce yourself. Or you can collar anyone who looks like a member at any of our productions (eg, actors, refreshments, raffle people, lighting crew, or the kindly person who offers you a programme).
Classes of Membership
We have five classes of membership:
Full Members can act or do anything else towards our productions and participate in our social activities. They have full voting rights and may serve on our executive committee and reading committee. They must be at least 18 years old. Full membership is a real bargain at only £12 per year.
Junior Members must be at least 14 years old or must still be in full time education if 18 or over. They can act in productions, but cannot vote at meetings or serve on committees. Children of full members and patrons may take part in the society’s activities without becoming junior members -
Patron membership is designed for general supporters of the society and for the parents of children aged 8 to 13 who take part in our activities when the parent is not already a member in their own right. Patrons cannot act in our productions unless specifically invited but they may participate in our social events. They may attend annual general and extraordinary general meetings but have no voting rights and may not serve on committees. They must be at least 18 years old. The current subscription for patrons is £6 per year.
Life Members have all the rights of full members but pay no subscription. This class of membership is awarded occasionally and normally at an AGM, only to those members who have given the society many years of exceptional service.
Temporary Members can take part in our productions and social activities but may not vote in our elections. Temporary membership is granted at the discretion of the Executive Committee and may be limited to a specific production or time period.
